Research and Resources
ALearn conducts its own research to understand the issues which face students and families of those who are the first in their families to go to college. Research has been conducted in both English and Spanish (parents' surveys)to make sure we can address the issues most crucial to the academic success of historically-underserved students.
ALearn's site www.zoomz.net is its most important resource for students who will be the first in their families to go to college. This site encourages first generation high school and college students to talk to each other and recent graduates and experts to discover the secrets of success in getting to and succeeding in college. ALearn also points out other resources in its resource section.
